I have a broken item I want to have restored. What should I do?
Gather all the pieces you have. Even very small pieces are important, so make sure, especially if you have recently broken the item, that all the pieces are there. While missing pieces can be recreated, restoration will be less expensive if all the original pieces are present. If you wish to get a restoration estimate by email, lay the pieces out and take a few digital photographs of the damage. Lightly pack the pieces in a box so further damage does not occur. Put small fragments into a plastic bag. DO NOT attempt to glue or tape the pieces together. Removing glue or tape from an item adds to the cost of the repair.
